Polling, Drill Polling, and Tree Polling

Polling is an overlooked part of voice broadcasting that should be in the arsenal of every professional agency and consultant.

University studies show that recorded polling is far more accurate that live polling, that often shows a bias.  Not only is it extremely accurate but you can now offer polling for a fraction of what a candidate will pay elsewhere. I have personally had candidates contact me only after they spent $5,000.00 - $15,000 for a poll that we could have done for $1,600.00.

Further, polling can be used to put you into or keep you out of a race. Identify issues.  And most importantly, identify your support base and undecided voters.

With this information you can then contact your support base to canvass the undecided voters.  When properly done the opposition has no idea what just hit them.

You can design your own poll or we can write and record it for you.  We charge $200.00 retail for a one question poll and $50.00 for each additional question.  Your cost is $100.00 for a one question poll and $25.00 for each additional question. If you script and only need recordings, we charge $10.00 per recording. So a four question poll is just $40.00 for our experienced consultants.

The most successful calling technique for polling is a live message only and a ring tone under 30 seconds to avoid as many answering machines as possible.  This technique also lowers your cost.  Agency/Political Consultant polling rate is just $995.00 per 100k (3 attempts) or just .00995 per number. Add 5% for each additional question.

Drill polling is simply calling the same database again for those who have not yet responded.  Drill polling is especially effect on smaller campaigns to identify your base and mobilizing them to canvass the undecided.  If the poll also identifies the push button issues, the canvassers are armed with that undecided predisposed view so that a persuasive conversation is more likely

Tree polling is a poll where the response determines the next action.  For example, you can add the option to ask supporters if they are will to post a yard sign.

Another example of very successful tree polling is getting supporters to caucuses.  Ron Paul won five Republican state caucuses in 2012 largely by his consultant doing tree polling with us.  The poll simply listed the candidates.  If the respondent was a Ron Paul supporter he was guided to the caucus meeting.  All other respondents were simply thanked for their participation. (Add $50.00 for each tree poll branch, your cost is $25.00.)

VOTER REGISTRATION UPGRADES AND CALL TRANSFER

Another emerging use of voice broadcasting is voter registration and voter registration upgrades. It is well known that mail-in voters are also high propensity voters, so a key in 2014 will be how many voters Democrats and Republicans can upgrade to mail-in ballots.

We have a consultant who has successfully upgraded 400+ voters with only 6,000 calls using call transfer to the registrar’s office. This consultant went on to roll out these campaigns into millions of calls in 70 Florida counties and is widely heralded for being the person most responsible for carrying Florida for President Obama in 2012 who was not favored to win this state. INCUMBENT PUBLIC SERVICE MESSAGES

Voice broadcasting is a powerful double edged sword. Properly used, it is a wonderful and extremely effective tool. Misused, it is irritating and can even cause harm.

It can be especially useful to expose corruption and for challengers on low budgets to identify their base and get their message out.

One often over looked effective use is public service announcements by incumbents for special citizen events.  Such events are often paid for by the local government agency sponsoring the event and the public service official announcement creates good will for the incumbent you worked so diligently to get in office.  Our most successful agencies consistently utilize this tool and have little or no need for voice broadcasting for re-election.
